Gold Star Parents Flag Presentation

Families of active-duty U.S. military personnel will be presented with a Blue Star service banner to display in their windows.

Families who have lost a family member in war will be presented with Gold Star service banners.

One flag is available for each household.

Sheriff Keith Cain, a Vietnam veteran, will be the keynote speaker at the ceremony.

 The event is open to the public.  Service will begin at 1:00pm.

Families can pick up an application form for the Blue Star banners in the Kentucky Room of the Daviess County Public Library by Friday or go online to download a form at www.kentuckyremembers.org.
Department of Defense specifies that family members authorized to display the flag include the wife, husband, mother, father, stepmother or stepfather, parent through adoption, foster parents, children, stepchildren, children through adoption, brothers, sisters and half brothers or sisters of a member of the Armed Forces.
